<Story>

The Kalambo Washing Station is a new facility that began operations in 2021.
Located in Muyinga Province in northeastern Burundi, amid beautiful rolling hills near Ruvubu National Park, we produce coffee with approximately 1,000 smallholder farmers who farm on three hills: Karira, Kiryama, and Masasu. This lot is processed from cherries grown in Masasu.

At Kalambo WS, our mission is to "bring the highest quality coffee Burundi has to offer while making a positive impact on local communities."

Shade trees and legumes are planted to fix nitrogen and prevent soil erosion, and bananas, corn, cassava and beans are encouraged to increase farmers' incomes.
